At open meeting on December 19, 2006, the PUC approved National Grid's proposed gas energy surcharge of $0.063 per dekatherm on an interim basis pending full review of Company's Phase I filing of 12/1/06 and Phase II filing expected to be filed by 2/1/07.
At open meeting held on May 23, 2007, the PUC considered the Stipulation and Settlement of the parties and unanimously approved the Settlement, including Attachment 5, with modification to: (1) eliminate funding for two internet programs costing $296,000; and (2) reduce the shareholder incentive by (a) not basing it on funding the EERMC and (b) the reduction of $296,000 in the operating budget, an overall reduction of approximately $18,450. As a result, the EERMC budget will be reduced as well and overall the budget will decrease by approximately 4.2 percent and the surcharge will be approximately 11¢ a dekatherm on July 1, 2007.
